Madonna in the ... park

Well seems like Madonna comes to Romania after all. She decided if there is no concert hall big enough for her, then the concert will be outdoors, in Bucharest, the park Izvor which is huge.
Not only it is big, but it has lots of trees and its not surrounded by fences. The price of the tickets start from 120 RON (aprox 30 euros) to 2250 RON (the gold package, aprox. 500 euros).
Next week I'll buy a ticket 'cause I'm not gonna miss this, but I'm a bit dissapointed of the location. Bucharest is crappy enough, but now in a park too? Oh well, at least she still comes to visit us I guess, thats big enough (or not).
Currently only the customers of the mobile company Vodafone can buy tickets, starting of 3rd March everyone can buy.
I heard that the Gold Area already sold out in the first day, but no worries, there are over 45.000 tickets on sale.

Madonna cancels Romania concerts

The queen/bitch canceled the concerts in Romania because currently there is no arena big enough for her, our 70.000 sits Lia Manoliu Arena is under construction and will be ready only in 2 years. The alternative could be to use other arenas which have the capacity of 20.000 people, but seems like Madonna doesn't care about some 20.000 fans.
Hope you choke with all that cash, you slut!

UPDATE: Well she will come after all, more details here and I don't regret what I said up there, even if I just bought a ticket :D

That's what I always thought. When I was under 18 was the best time ever! Everyone found you hot & tempting, didn't really matter if you really are hot or cute or awesome or .. or ...
But comes the day when you change that magical 1 from your age and you get mature. Mature about the way you act, the way you speak or even the way you flirt.

Sex is not a number, this expression was invented for others to feel good about their age and forget that the end is always around the corner.
The truth is that we run thru our life instead to taste life at its full potential. We are always without patience and move faster, never knowing where are we heading.

On my quest to survive on Linux, I found a way how to install Eclipse 3.4 codename Ganymede on Ubuntu 8.10, cause if you are a Java developer you know how important is 3.4 than Eclipse 3.2 which comes with Ubuntu for some years! Its weird that they don't update it.

Well the year 2009 started with a bumpy road (heath problems, school problems and hard work), but I've decided to fight it off by making some changes in my life. Besides the new diet I'm following right now (want to become a vegetarian), I've also switched permantly from being a Windows user to Ubuntu.

You might be surprised to hear that you can find ANY software alternatives to the applications you use in Windows, but not only. Even for MAC, for example everybody knows Apple's Time Machine backup software, well in Ubuntu you can use an application called Time Vault which does the same thing, but with less graphics.

That would be all, promise to write more often here and I'm off to learning, tomorrow I have exam s!

Calm days, all exams passed away. Its about time I had a break.
My job is cool, working on a project, deadlines to follow, I like it. Taking my driver's license was a big "WOW" for me & my friends. (after a hit & run cat incident no wonder)
Next weekend me and some friends are planning a camping trip to Turnu Rosu, an area that is totally unknown to me, but who can turn down some nights sleeping under the stars and maybe more ... (alcohol is included). I just a need sleeping bag, anyone care to borrow? Promise I will throw up/have sex outside, cross my heart :D
Anyhow... these weeks I had casual sex like a bunny in a biology class and I can just say its very cool, but somehow depressing. Those who don't believe me, try it, can't really explain. Its like playing Grand Theft Auto using cheat codes. (the dork in me has spoken)

Here's an unusuall topic, do you turn to sex to solve some of your daily problems?
Joking or serious, I've heard people turn to sex to resolve stress problems, but not only.
In Romania its called "the poor man's aspirine", sex being used as potential treatment for some psyhologic problems like head aches, depression, saddness and so on.
But the question is, is it a temporary thing or it really works?
I for one get a boost of energy after it, but to solve for example a depression I think its too much :)

Final exams are almost over, summer vacation knocking on my door, new job as programmer soon ... its time to pull myself together and move on.

Chelsea, a friend of mine from US which I met on the 2006 trip to San Francisco, invited me this fall to spend Thanksgiving with her family. If I get the stupid visa, you bet I'll be there :P

Speaking about my new job, well, I quit my former job to chase a dream (such big words!). I always wanted to be a programmer, although I don't know if I have what it takes. Why not give it a shot, I don't have much to lose.
Programming is very different than computer administration. In administration you interact more with people, you "touch" your problems and even get dirty :P.
Most of the times, a programmer is a geek, a no social life being, but I like to think that's just a myth and not qualities of the perfect programmer :)

Today I'll go to Copsa Mica, need food & money :D My hometown is changing every time I go home, all the buildings are improved and parks are being set up.

Some people say that depression feels like a black curtain of despair coming down over their lives.

Depression is something you don't want to handle. It comes silently, like a PRO asasin. Once you realize you have, its almost always too late. Yup, I realized I got it for a week now. Some of the signs include:

Feelings of helplessness and hopelessness	A bleak outlook—nothing will ever get better and there’s nothing you can do to improve your situation.
Loss of interest in dailly activities	No interest in or ability to enjoy former hobbies, pastimes, social activities, or sex.
Appetite or weight changes	Significant weight loss or weight gain—a change of more than 5% of body weight in a month.
Sleep changes	Either insomnia or oversleeping (also known as hypersomnia).
Psychomotor agitation or retardation	Either feeling “keyed up” and restless or sluggish and physically slowed down.
Loss of energy	Feeling fatigued and physically drained. Even small tasks are exhausting or take longer.
Self-loathing	Strong feelings of worthlessness or guilt. Harsh criticism of perceived faults and mistakes.
Concentration problems	Trouble focusing, making decisions, or remembering things.
Irritability	Easily annoyed or frustrated. Lashing out in anger or snapping at others.
Aches and pains	New or worse physical symptoms, including headaches, backaches, diarrhea or constipation, abdominal pain, and aching joints.

1. Cu ce este Windows Vista mai bun decat Xp? Sau contrariul.

Cerinte minime:

Intel Pentium - 233 MHz

VISTA (basic)

Windows Aero - scop: sa fure ochii la clienti :) Era principala atractie despre care se vorbea la aparitia Windows Vista, contine o suita elemente grafice printre care amintesc doar Windows 3D Flipper

Windows Sidebar - Un fel de Google Desktop sau Yahoo Widgets, originalitatea Microsoft nu inceteaza sa ma surprinda :D

Windows Search - cea mai utila caracteristica din noua generatie windows, practic e Search-ul imbunatatit din XP, pe principiul "on the fly", in timp ce tastezi vezi rezultate instant.

Parental Controls - o alta caracteristica utila , de la restrictionarea unor pagini web pana la setarea duratei maxime in care o persoana poate juca un anumit joc :) Thumbs up!

UAC (User Account Control) - caracterizata de catre utilizator ca fiind "cea mai enervanta caracteristica" este de fapt o adaptare a celor de la Microsoft dupa sistemul de securitate gen root din diversele distributii Linux. Din fericire/nefericire aceasta optiune se poate dezactiva. Practic te intreaba la fiecare actiune asupra sistemului daca chiar vrei sa o faci :P

Vista nu a uitat de XP si a adus si unele imbunatatiri la caracteristicile mostenite de la XP. Bara Start a fost modificata ca in fiecare editie de windows lansata, un fel de traditie macabra la Microsoft.
Deasemea icon-urile se numesc acum "Live Icons" datorita strategiei de Marketing cred (toate produsele MS au trantit cate un Live in nume) cat si marimii si calitatii imaginii.
My, my, my ....sunt si ele prezente in Vista, doar ca probabil s-au saturat si ei de atata "my" iar acuma avem Documents (care nu mai contine My Pictures etc), Music, Pictures si Games.

Cat despre securitate nu sunt schimbari majore. MS se lauda cu o imbunatatire a Windows Firewall prin scanarea in ambele sensuri a traficului faca de one-way scan de la XP. Adaugarea UAC, cat a fi ea de enervanta, a redus numarul de infectari, insa e o chestiune de timp.

Fata de XP aparitia lui Vista in mai multe versiuni (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Ultimate) e un lucru bun, o mai mare flexibilitate pentru cei care nu au un buget sanatos. Diferentele intre versiuni sunt minore ca de obicei.
Poate una important pentru utilizatorul de rand este faptul ca Vista in limba romana e disponibil doar pentru Vista Ultimate, o tampenie parerea mea. Pachetul pentru limba romana ar fi trebuit sa fie disponibil pentru utilizatorii Home, care au dificultati cu problemele IT. Insa vorbim despre MS.

Eu folosesc de aproape 7 luni Vista, obligat-fortat deoarece laptop-ul meu a venit cu Vista Home Premium, din pacate, speram la Business/Ultimate care ofera facilitatea de a face legal downgrade la XP Profesional.

Ca si concluzie, Vista are tot ce contine XP, doar mai stralucitor.

2. De ce este important sa achizitionezi o licenta Windows, care sunt avantajele pe care le ai folosind o licenta valida?

Hm...o intrebare capcana as spune. In primul rand pentru ca asa e moral. Toate bune si frumoase, insa preturile celor de la Microsoft numai "morale" nu sunt. Un client intreaba pe seful meu de ce Office 2007 e asa scump (2000 RON), la care seful raspunde: "Pentru ca Bill Gates e printre cei mai bogati din lume".
As putea sa te ametesc cu obisnuitele bla-bla-bla-uri despre "avantajele" unei licente. De amintit la Vista, pachetul Aero nu e activat pana cand copia de windows nu e activata, activare care oricum e obligatorie dupa 30 de zile de la instalare.
Avand o licenta valida ai acces la updates de la MS cat si la anumite programe de pe pagina oficiala MS care pentru a fi descarcate cer o validare a sistemului de operare (Windows Defender, Media Player 11).
Mai e si aspectul legal. In Sibiu cel putin campania antipiraterie e in floare, zeci de persoane s-au trezit cu politia la usa pentru folosirea DC++, majoritatea au ramas fara hardisk si fara cateva milioane.
Sfatul meu, daca ai posibilitatea materiala sa cumperi o licenta, go for it, chiar daca Bill Gates a facut avere pe banii tai, sunt totushi si altii care au lucrat intr-adevar. Insa e interesant de luat in considerare si alternativa Open Source, care in ultimii ani a devenit tot mai variata, de la Red Hat la al nostru Kiwi (distributie RO Ubuntu).

Saturday Seby has returned the visit that I made on 1st of May in Brasov during Labor Day. We had a lot of fun especilly that in that day there was a concert in Piata Mare (Andra & Mandinga) and in Piata Mica was the Film Festival. Too bad I couldn't see the ending of the movie Control which was quite interesting.

Veverita VIP was complaining in one post about the fact that sometimes when you go out and have a beer, they bring you the glass with a different sticker on it than the brand of beer you're drinking.

Seems like this time I was lucky, hehehehe.

Today was my last day at Punct Net. After long negotiations and finally getting to an agreement, in the last minute I've changed my mind, deciding to go in a different way, programming.
I've always saw myself doing programming, nothing related to hardware since I hate physics :P

My former job chose me, the circumstances, but also the need for money pushed me to try working in Computer Administration. It's quite different than programming, but at first I was enthusiastic because finally I had a real job which was in my field.
Soon enough I started to understand it wasn't the job I've dreamed, but in the same time I didn't saw the opportunities that might appear in time. Taking in count that I'm young and a student, I said to risk it all and quit my current job, searching for a job in programming.
Today was Friday 13 which usually brings me luck. This time was no exception, I got today an interview set up on Monday for a programmer position.
In 3 months I've learned a lot, not necessary technical stuff, but how people are in life, how they react and to always stand up for your rights.
Don't be afraid to quit is my conclusion, there's always gonna be a place where to work and remember, regret the things you did than the things you didn't have the guts to try ;)

The flavor of your job

Not long ago (2 & a half months ) I entered the world of workaholics, with my new job at Punct Net.
I can consider it my first job, since my summer jobs from USA can't be considered full time jobs.
At Punct Net I'm an Network Administrator , taking care of computers from our customers. If somebody asks me what are my tasks at my job I could not explain. Diversity is a daily thing at my job, I can't say is something positive, since my main purpose is to acquire experience with this job in ONE domain.

The money for now is good, soon I'll pass the 3 months probation and I can ask for the well deserved ( and BIG) raise I've been waiting for. I read an article that 50% of Romanian employees which complain of bad salary are actually the cause for it, for not asking for a raise. Thats not my case, I like to make things clear and know when to quit.
The ideal job must be a place where you enjoy what you do, have nice colleagues and a great atmosphere. Once an element is missing a job can become a living hell, so choose with caution and always sell yourself for what your worth!

Nope, its not Rihanna's song :)) Today I've started to actually drive a car and I must admit its not so easy as I always thought :P
At one point my instructor said I should pull over and explain to me that speed kills a lot of people. (turns out, I am going to fast, wtf? :))) ) I was surprised to see that my instructor brought me from Cisnadioara (out of the city village) and into the heart of Sibiu, where's ALOT of traffic. I thought my engine would die on my in the middle of a crossroad. But it didn't happen (it happened outside the city hahahaha)

Global warming is coming. God was it hot today in Sibiu, I was like a puddle locked in a Matiz :D Tomorrow i will drive again, but this time at 7 AM, good weather, bad traffic. So till 9 AM stay the f*ck out of my way on the road to Platinis hehehehe :P

Got a bike?

The headquarters of the company where I work just moved into the other end of the city and now its like an hour of walking there.
So I was thinking to buy/rent a bike. I wouldn't like to buy one since in 2 months I might have a drivers license and that would mean to abandon the new bought bike.
Anybody knows cheap bikes or bikes for rent?

Just a regular day at the office, 80 km (or something like that) away from office actually :D Today I went with a colleague at a customer in Orastie to setup a network and to please our customers.
Imagine aprox. 100 married/unmarried (mostly married) women in one industrial hall working their guts out in a not so friendly temperature (hot!!!!!!!!). The board is formed, of course, of two ladies. There are of course some men there too, but believe me, nobody would dare to mess with them. Hehehehehe

But I like to go to Orastie, the people in that factory are friendly, especially the excutive board, and also the raping views I get when I move my butt around the factory =)))
The food in Orastie was great as usual, not to mention cheap and with good service. If you visit Orastie, try the Gira Fast Food, its worth your money ;)

The Car

As I said in some former posts, I've started attending the driving school. Today I had the preexamination , a test that, if you make 18 points out of 26, you can start learning/driving on a real car. I passed the test with 23 points :D

But lets take a closer look to the car. A means of transportation, sometimes a luxury and not to forget, a weapon of mass "destruction" :P. I've never been passionate about driving, I loved Formula 1 in high school, but didn't really thought I would go for a driving license. Since my new job, everyday is different. Responsibilities & work are key words in my job, but the most I like about this job is that it pushes me to limits, to stress and to try new things. I know it sounds all so fluffy and out of movies, but on a low level its true.

As every experience in life, it has its role. I might die doing this thing to the rest of my days or quit tomorrow, doesn't really matter, as long as I like it.

In 8 days I will take the wheel for the first time, I know others tried it with friends/relative at least once in their life to steer or move the car, but not me. I just hope my instructor has a lot of patience hahahahahahaha. But not just any car, the "huge" car Daewoo Matiz, which is currently a part of Chevrolet.

Labor Day Review

Well labor day was awesome! I decided to go to Brasov, a city surounded by mountains and close to the Bran Castel, for my international readers, Dracula's nest, hehehehe :D
They even have a Hollywood air, not for the celebryties that might be there, see these pics:

The city is diveded in 2 , Old Brasov & the New Brasov depending on the buildings. If in Sibiu the new mingles with the old, in Brasov, from Tampa you can even draw an imaginary line between the old and the new.
The famous Black Church from Brasov starts to lose its colors, but it still remains impresive.
The food there is very good and at an acceptable price, there's even a Scotish Club with great service and men in kilts :D The owner is Scotish and very funny!
Like a total coincidence I run into my friends from AIESEC Sibiu, which were also visiting Brasov with thier own guide from AIESEC Brasov. My guide was Seby, which knows his way thru Brasov (on the right).

Once again I've installed Linux on my laptop, but this time as standalone. No more Windows, bye bye Microsoft ( I wonder how much time I'm gonna survive hahahaha).
From the numerous distributions of Linux, I like Ubuntu. It has all the things you need, you can easily install aplications and many many more.

Easter is over thank God and I'm back to my favorite city in the haunted dorm, all the students are still at their homes (there's a week of school vacation). Tomorrow I start work, another day, another buck.

I have to admit since I broke-up with C. I start to feel very lonely, I kinda got used to those all day calls, dirty phone talk and of course the weekly banging.
Anyhow, soon I'll have a LOT of work on my head and school projects that I won't have time to think about these foolish things anymore :D

Tommorow is Easter for us Orthodoxs and I'm going to my parent's house to celebrate Easter with my family, as in every year. I know it sounds boring, but tradition is tradition.

Yesterday I've watched Latter Days which is a Gay Drama (lol, I mean it :D). The movie's story is great, its about mormons & their religion and of course, the love between a mormon & a gay waiter. Just think of Brockback Mountain with an happy ending :P You know me, I'm open to everything.

Yesterday I signed up for Driver's License School, a journey that will be for 4 - 8 weeks. I decided to get a driver's license, 'cause the company where I currently work will offer me a work-car, the well known Daewoo Matiz.

Last week I got a work-cellphone too, things go pretty good :P I guess when the boss is asking you if you like where you work every week your in the good place :D
Not to mention free lunch everyday. (Downpart: gain weight, damn!)

Oh and I need inspiration. I feel so out of flow lately ... like I lost my Mojo ... or maybe what I need is a good bang =))

My life goes on, but not the same. I've been so high, I've been so down.....
Up's & Down's are the new trend nowadays, stability is yesterday's think. You bang a girl, you bang a boy, its a moment's thing, 'cause everything goes one as nothing happens.

Consequences? Who really cares nowadays, money is the purpose, we are the object.

Kylie vs. Budapest

Weird title right? And no, its not the title of a remix :P
On the 17th May Kylie Minogue will be in Bucharest, Romania to sing for the first time here ( I think), a concert that takes part of her World Tour called Kylie X.

A friend of mine suggested we should go, you know, one-time opportunity in life sort of thing, but since I always looked up at Kylie as an wannabe Madonna object (no offense for those who worship the Australian dwarf) I said, as Amy Winehouse would say , "No, no, no no ...."!
My second alternative is to go on a trip to Budapest, our blood enemy for centuries, I've heard its a great city. Not to mention that the entire 2 days trip cost the same as Kylie's concert which btw is very cheap, the VIP seats cost around 85$ :D
I went with Budapest, 'cause as I've heard, its a free city, a modest Amsterdam city, sex bars, gay-lesbian discos, strip bars etc etc :P

Two guys, one project

I spoke before about Copsa Mica Online , which I started some time ago, a website presenting the history of my hometown Copsa Mica, #1 polluted city in Europe.
When I first created the website I was alone, but one day I got this email from a student from Bucharest saying he was a new (and better) template, that he created, for www.copsa-mica.org, my website. I checked it, and I had to admit it, it was better. I'm a programmer, I suck at design :P
Since then we spoke almost daily on messenger, adding new stuff to the website or laughing on hate mail, ironically, from ignorant people from Copsa Mica.
Last weekend, he & his charming gf (you owe me a beer Gaby), came to see the former European Capital of Culture 2007, Sibiu, the city I currently live. Here are some pictures of their trip:

Aren't there times when you think that one day you will die? Might be tomorrow or when your eighty? But does it really matter?

We know the end and there's nothing to do about it. Sometimes I'm a control freak and that sensation that it will happen, a way or another, gives me the creeps.
Some say that's 'cause I'm not religious or something like that, but isn't that something invented for us to have a purpose to life, preventing mass suicide.
But then again, I might be wrong, there is a God and I will rote in Hell :P Or you all will go to Hell, Allah might be the true God.
This religion thing is so complicated. Its the right one, the one you truly believe, between you & me that's stupid.
But then again, I might be wrong.

Madonna's latest album will be released on the 28th April for Europe & Asia and USA on the 29th. Today and tomorrow, Madonna's next video was for sale for 48 hours before the official release on iTunes. I got to see a sneak peek of the video and I have posted some pics from the video. Its something Madonna didn't do in the past, she looks even better than in the last videos (she is going to be 50 this year), BUT its too damn commercial.
Its not the original Madonna we got used to. Fans around the world are complaining about her single 4 Minutes, which should be called Justin Timberlake feat. Madonna, 'cause she let herself too much influenced by JT and Timberland.
The song is good indeed, but its not Madonna.

New start

Sometimes we live in dreams, or for them? Don't know. But the down-part is that one day you wake up in sh*t and move on.
Well something like that happened to me. After 9 months of relationship I decided to end things, don't ask why 'cause the reasons are multiple and very confusing.
I like to end relationships in a friendly way, and till now it kinda worked over time. C. is history now, I look at all the posts about C. now and laugh at myself how many plans I did for us, like move together and stuff. Whatever.
The scary part is that now I'm out there alone and single hehehe, a bit rusty I must confess.
Dating again? Maybe. But not soon, not 'cause I've been marked for live or other dramas like this, its just a matter of time, since I have a job & school.

Another day, another fascinating day at my new job :D Today I went with a colleague in an Italian factory to setup a firewall preconfigured by Italians. Sorry Fresh, but this time the Romanian engineers kicked your "Italians do it better" ass :P The configuration wasn't as promised/wrote wrong/or whatever, to cut to the chase, it didn't work. 'Cause I work at the best outsourcing IT company in Sibiu (maybe country) we fixed (or Simi, my colleague :P) it.

But this post is about Orastie. It is said its the town of 1001 bars, the town which its name means "town" (oras = town, Orastie = something like town :P ), the town which was dead many times in its history, but always revived.
Me & Simi didn't have time to visit the town, just a 30 min lunch break which we took at Gira Restaurant, good choice, the food was great (free desert)! Who knows, when I'm ready I might be sent there by myself :D
Some of the main attractions include Burebista's Statue, The Orthodox Cathedral and the Evangelic Church from the fortress.

Day 2

Well I bravely survived today's surgery, which wasn't so bad, just the part where the doctor put stitches to close the surgery. Ouch! Next week I'm going to remove them.
Today was my second day working, everything was good and I've learned a thing or two :)
As you may notice, my blog has a new look and I've already received some thumbs up, glad you like it.
What's next? Well staying on track, and maybe, but just maybe to start the learn to drive a car :P But that's when I've earned some cash :)

Surgery, plastic and scandals

With what to start ....many things happened and very fast! First of all, today was my first day working at my part time job as a Network Administrator for a local company. The conditions are great, if I can stand up to their standards everything will be great.

RoBlogFest is finally over, I'm so full of all the mass messages I got on my Yahoo Messenger to vote Copseanul which by the way got the 1st prize for Best group blog and some other places that don't remember. Just a reminder, Copseanul is a blog written (mostly badly) by 2 guys from my hometown Copsa Mica. After the awards gala there was one big scandal about Copseanul, since everyone didn't agree with the quality of the content and the number of visitors. But this is life :P Good job (spam) guys! Hope you do better next year!

Now getting personal, I have some serious tooth problems so tomorrow will be my first tooth surgery (sounds funny) planned for a week now, auch! (pocket auch too!) Fuck Malpractice!

The President's daughter was crushed by the media with her horrible speeches, that even the President of Romania, her father, went in a press conference to defend her. How pathetic! She is 26 years old, she's like the well behaved Paris Hilton version of Romania... so Mr. President don't let us believe you're a victim of the press, but a victim of your daughter's education.

DoiPeDoi is hosting again a great contest about your hometown. Task: present your hometown, here I go!

Copsa Mica, a typical Romanian town, represents the standard of the martyr towns, victim of pollution and the place where I grew up . This town developed itself with the price of permanent aggression of pollution over the entire population, from a newly born to the one who dies before he's time is up.

Beside the humans, the aggression of pollutants manifests itself also over the flora and fauna which present signs of suffering, with economic consequence, ecologic and high aggression over people by closing the trophic chain.

The dates about the health of children justifies the term genocide because all the children present the signs of impregnation with lead and cadmium and the consequences are very severe because it affects the physical and intellectual evolution, the homeopathic organs.

Not long ago, in Copsa Mica there were 2 great industrial factories: The metallurgic factory of non-ferrous metallurgy (M.F.N.M) and the plant “Carbosin”, producer of black smoke with its multiple use.

After the year 1989 had intervened an essential optical improvement of the mentality of people, beginning with the simple citizen to the highest political man, reflected by the major decisions taken. The plant “Carbosin”, which massively polluted Copsa Mica and its neighbor cities for 60 years with black smoke was closed, but not only for its pollution but also because it became unprofitable. The M.F.N.M. was sold and became S.C. Sometra S.A. with the hope that the foreign director, which bought the factory, will reduce the concentrations of inorganic lead and other evacuated toxins so they fit the normal limits.

At first sight you would say that the problem was successfully solved but the situation is far from this. It becomes more clearly that the plant “Carbosin” was making a pollution called optical pollution, which meant that the black smoke was indeed dangerous but not so like the high inorganic lead concentrations which we know. In winter, because of the plant Carbosin, the snow would be sometimes black and in the rest of year the trees and houses were covered in black.

Through the years the authorities supervised the value of lead and cadmium from the surface waters, fountains but also from the potable water ellaborated from the surface water source in Copsa Mica. So the authorities were suprized to notice that in 1978 the values were 6,6 times than normal, 4 times in 1989 and 1992, 3,8 times in 1985, 3 times in 1982 and 2 times in 1986. This dates were for lead, and for cadmium there was a record in 1979 of 276,6 times the normal limit. There test were ellaborated from the river Tarnava Mare, near the town Copsa Mica.

The principal toxins which affect the atmosphere from Copsa Mica are: lead, cadmium, SO2 and dioxide of azote.

The industrial platform of Copsa Mica charges the atmosphere with noticeable quantities of smoke, vapors, gazes (sulphuric dioxide ) and the most dangerous aerosols being: lead, cadmium, zinc and copper.

The polluted zone covers the hole town Copsa Mica, but it extend itself trough the vale of the river Tarnava Mare beetwen several towns, affecting several other towns.

The heavy metals can get inside the enviroment – water, air, soil,vegetations. Because of that there is an enlargement of the soil pollution and through the planted plants on this soils and also of the inspired dust the people's health is very affected. There were ellaborated test on the grounds of the near factory, from schools and grounds for cultivating and the conclusions were that the concentrations of metals were over the normal limit.

The pollution acts like an external factor, very aggressive, affecting biochemical and chemical processes from plants and soil, making great ecological imbalances, and even genetic, over the great functionality of forests, affecting the hydrological and climatic functions. The negative effects of the forest pollution affects the natural balance of nature and also the society.

The effects of the pollution on the social plan have been analized also in Copsa Mica. It is about the permanent discomfort provoked over the population through smells and the irritation of the respirator's ways and of the eye conjunctivitis. At this it adds the pollutions of the external environment and of the houses. I remember how i used to play outside with my friends and we were sometimes obligated to go inside because of the gazes emitted by the factory, which was a feeling that you can't get enough air and constantly coughing.

Although you saw in this essay many negative aspects of this town, this little town it will always stay in my heart because here is where I grew up, made great friends, dreamed for a better future. I wrote this essay in the hope that those of you who read it won't make the same mistake and appreciate the true value of nature and that money can't buy the natural beauty of our mother Earth.

I might have underestimated the job interview, I will know if I'm hired next week. It was a 2 hour interview with many many questions.

I know I know you will say its all commercial and I do know that most of it it is, but its just another excuse to be happy & say I love you. Call me an oldie, but my partner thinks I'm a goldie ;)

This year there will be a lot of events, for example Radio Total will celebrate the Gay Love this year, playing 24 hours only gay music.

Job interview

Its not my first, but at least my real one for a job here. I had a job interview when I went in the USA last summer and some interviews at some organisations. All went well.
But this one is for real. I mean its a real Romanian job that I will have (if I get it) with all the crap that comes with it :P Can't wait to start!!!!!!!!

Stupid people

For more than 2 months and a half I'm without an ID. I gave my ID to the authorities 2 & 1/2 months for them to put residence visa like every year. Usually this should take 10 business days, but not in this case.
The worst thing is that in Romania you can't anything without an ID, I could not pay my internet without a valid ID. They postpone & postpone with lame excuses, I don't know what the heck is happening. Does anyone know where I can write a complaint to?
